Top 20 ugliest language in the world
The World's most beautiful/ugly language ?
PersonallyI think, and I've studied languages and accents all my life, that sometimes people can be biased in perception perhaps because of rivalries or because the language in question is so different from their own.. But I also think there's a general perception of what makes a language beautiful.. such as musicality, consonants vs. vowels, fluidity, sensuality, expressiveness, ect.. anyway..
Here's one..
(most beautifull)
Zulu..
Zulu must rank among the world's most beautiful languages, sounds like somewhere between Italian and Swahili, also two very beautiful languages.. Swahili having a more noticeable Hindi influence.
Other beautiful languages are Portuguese(especially Brazilian Portuguese).. and I think they know it too by some of the other threads in here. Galego is also very melodic and is related to portuguese, but It is less nasal and shares a somewhat castillian soberness and clarity.
Argentine Spanish is also very beautifull, soft, charming and very musical, sometimes to a fault,.. It is the opposite of Castillian which I find very dry, sober as well as a bit harsh (same goes f

I Asked 100 Strangers on The Internet “What Is the World’s Most Beautiful Language?” And This Is What They Said
As a professional language instructor, people’s attitudes and perceptions in regard to languages are extremely important to me. For this reason, I went on the website chatroulette.com and asked 100 strangers a few questions. I am well aware that this is not a scholarly study that provides a true reflection of the world’s population; after all, this is just using one website full of people who speak English and are willing to answer a stranger’s questions on live video—not to mention that a sample size of 100 is way too small. Nevertheless, this survey was a lot of fun to carry out and it did help me draw a few conclusions. I hope that it provides something valuable to you as well.
1.The Survey
The questions were:
-Where are you from?
This question is easy for many to answer, but it does have different meanings for different people. I tried to make sure that the person answered with the best definition that matched their identity.
-Where do you live?
This question is as relevant as the first since the place where you live does have an

Ugliest is by far Cantonese (sounds like people cursing at each other) followed by Danish (sounds like German and Swedish had a messed up child), Welsh (sounds like people chocking on potatoes), Mandarin (the "sh", "dzh" and "sch" sounds drive me crazy), and Haitian Creole (sounds like the speaker is performing exorcism). |

Kannada language speakers slammed the search engine giant for insulting the historically significant language, which dates back over 2,000 years. According to the image shared widely on social media, the answer to the question, “What is the ugliest language in India?” was Kannada. “The answer is Kannada spoken by around 40 million people in south India,” according to a screenshot of the search results. The Karnataka government also condemned this on Thursday and warned of appropriate action against Google. "This is a very condemnable thing. If Google or anyone else behaves in contempt of Kannada language or insults Kannada, appropriate action will be taken against them," said Arvind Limbawali, minister for forest, Kannada and culture in Karnataka. Limbawali also said that the secretary of the department has been briefed about the matter and has been instructed to issue a notice to Google immediately. Me |
