  Fancy Pants Adventures is a series of free side-scrolling Flash games created by American developer Brad Borne. Three worlds have been released so far. World 1 was released on March 14, 2006 and World 2 was released on January 9, 2008. After the 2009 Comic-Con, Borne announced he would officially start working on World 3.   Have you ever dived back into the swirly, ink-drawn world of Fancy Pants Adventures and felt it was just begging for a little extra punch? That’s exactly the vibe you get with Hacked Fancy Pants 2 Adventure: World 2. It feels like someone’s lovingly taken Brad Borne’s original stick-figure playground and tossed in some surprise power-ups, new enemies, and a few delightfully twisted shortcuts that keep you on your toes. You’ll still be sliding and spinning through those curvy levels you know and love, but with a couple more cheeky tricks up your sleeve.

  The core controls are nearly identical to the classic—arrow keys to move, jump to bounce, tap dash to rocket forward—but you’ll quickly notice subtle tweaks. Dash charges feel snappier, and there’s a new midair twist move that wasn’t in the original, making high-flying combos feel fresh and surprisingly strategic. You’ll discover hidden boost pads that send you skidding through secret tunnels and little color-coded switches that unlock bonus rooms. It’s deceptively simple but gives you enough layers of mastery to keep you hooked

  I don’t think I need to tell anyone that 2020’s been a crazy year for everyone. The ‘death of Flash’ was one of the bizarrities of last year that were more personal to me than most. It’s difficult to see an entire workflow be deleted from the internet that I almost entirely credit as my entry point into game development, my outlet for creativity, the ‘tool of my trade’, so to speak. The freedom, the ease of sharing work, the personal nature of most Flash games, I don’t think there will ever be anything similar to Flash again.

  But, with Flash’s death, there’s been more attention on Flash, Flash developers, and Flash games than there has been in quite awhile, it’s, well, bittersweet. I’ve been taking some time off of development and trying to not take the whole ordeal too personally, but I’ve been talking about Flash, games, gaming, and all that quite a bit lately, so I won’t go on too long here about it, but I think I owe the brave souls who listened to me ramble for far too long a link below if you’d like to hear more from me about it.

  Fancy Pants 2 is an unblocked adventure game where you try to save the ice cream cone that was given to you by the Mayor of Squiggleville. A mysterious rabbit stole it and ran away. You need to get it back!
