World of warcraft dnd

Seriously how do we not have a DnD 5e version of Warcraft?

Magitwat-sulfuras1

I know they done dnd wow before but I believe 3E maybe 2.5 but 5E is the most popular version of dnd. Warcraft would fit so nice into dnd, just surprising one of the most popular mmo / games of all time haven’t gotten anything dnd related since 3e

5e isn’t open source so blizzard cant just do it. They’d need to cooperate with Wizards to get something done and Wizards is busy making their MTG settings into 5e.

Ik it isn’t, but your telling me the entirety of wizard is working mtg? What’s stopping them from getting the Listening and doing it themselves . Critical roll done it, same with rick and morty and I’m forgetting one. That one Netflix show. I’m just saying it’s weird this never got a 5e version but rick and morty did

Can you elaborate?

Isn’t DnD it’s own brand?

What would a 5E DnD of WoW be?

Dnd is owned by wizard/created so kinda? I believe Warcraft would fit well in dnd in general. 5E itself would be fine. What would they have to change? Maybe aside from renaming some

Turning WoW into DnD

Falgand-wyrmrest-accord (Falgand) 1

Sure, lets turn WoW in DnD. Let everyone be everyone, screw the established lore and just make up random stories as we go along.

Titans? Nah, let’s make our own little pantheon based off something obscure, like Lithuania’s gods. Or perhaps a little Indian influence? Maybe a different kind of afterlife, since everyone and their mothers despise SL more so than poverty. Let’s break canon and have our characters be Kings or the new gods of Azeroth, or be married to famous NPCS. The possibilities are endless!

Hell, let’s make up some races while we’re at it. A race of half-elementals. Or maybe Cloud Gnomes, who managed to settle on a CLOUD of all things. Or Better yet, Crossover Races! Let’s play as Protoss, or Infested, or Nephilim!

Let’s tear down the faction barriers, ignore all the atrocities we’ve done to each other. Let’s remove PvP altogether since its all just an unbalanced mess.

Pretty sure by the end of it all, everyone will be a different shade of Elf, all forms of culture will be nonexistent, and we’re all be wearing the same clothing.

I hoped this fandom would rise above the devs and writers and stay t

World of Warcraft, 5th Edition D&D

Hey, all. I don’t make forum posts very often but I thought I’d take the time to ask a few questions and gather opinion on the very obvious topic: Considering the twists and turns that Warcraft has taken and the IP’s previous incarnation as a 3.5 Tabletop, how well do you feel a 5th Edition release of a less complicated and more adventure centric Warcraft D&D Setting would be received?

I personally believe it’d be a great move on their part considering the situation with World of Warcraft and general player apathy, Blizzard now without an IP to really hook players in if you’re not psychotically into Overwatch, Hearthstone or Diablo and a ‘Tabletop’ Warcraft game may be quite the cash-in, allowing Blizzard to ride the coat tails of D&D’s growing popularity and mild bleed into the mainstream through Critical Role into Twitch, into gaming ex: Life is Strange and even TV shows ex: Stranger Things.

TL;DR I feel it’d be a good opportunity if done correctly. How do you feel?

Dungeons and Dragons Fan Makes Huge World of Warcraft Homebrew Book

Summary

  • A Dungeons and Dragons player has created a massive Earth of Warcraft-themed supplement for 5th Edition, including races, classes, spells, and more.
  • This unofficial, fan-made book lets players transport their WoW characters to the table and seamlessly integrate them into the D&D framework.
  • Fans of both WoW and D&D are impressed by Galackharg's work and are already testing out the homebrew rules in their own games.

A Dungeons and Dragons player has created an incredible World of Warcraft-themed homebrew supplement for 5th Edition. This free third-party Dungeons and Dragons book is already over 200 pages long, but it has only just gotten started on bringing World of Warcraft to the TTRPG.

World of Warcraft has captivated players for nearly 20 years now, with the Warcraft franchise itself inspiring fans for close to 30. Meanwhile, Dungeons and Dragons has given players the tools to produce their own fantasies for almost 50 years. Considering many fans of one of these games often enjoy the other, it is only natural that the two would cross over.

Warcraft supplement for D&D 5e

Lintian-argent-dawn (Lintian) 1

I know that some people on this forum are into Dungeons & Dragons, so I thought they might find this interesting. A team of fans has made an unofficial 5e supplement for the Warcraft setting.

(There is also a Discord link in the PDF.)

It’s pretty much the closest thing we have to a successor to the discontinued Warcraft RPG, which was based on D&D 3e.

I’m curious what D&D players on this forum think about this initiative. I know I’d be interested in playing my AD RP characters in tabletop format, but online D&D doesn’t sound as appealing as playing it in person.

My guild currently runs a once monthly, sometimes once twice monthly, Warcraft based Pathfinder Homebrew. We would run it more often but I’m the sole content creator currently and it’s a lot of work creating the maps, monsters and stories that hook people in.

I find Pathfinder to be the better system for this as it allows people to be very, -very- specialised(Crit builds or non lethal bui
