Jimmy Eat World started in 1993 as a punk trio formed by childhood friends Jim Adkins and Zach Lind. After years of hard work in the studio and on the road, the band settled on a poppier sound, hitting the spotlight in 2001 with breakthrough album Bleed American. The album included several successful singles including "The Middle," which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became an MTV staple. After extensive touring in support of the album, the band returned to the studio for 2004's Futures, which peaked at No. 6 and earned the band another No. 1 single with "Pain." Chase This Light in 2007 and Invented in 2010 would achieve similar success, cementing the band's role as one of the most successful indie acts in the business.
In 2013, Jimmy Eat World celebrated 20 years of independently released records with Damage, their critically-acclaimed eighth studio album. At their live concerts, the band delivers a blast of non-stop energy and enthusiasm, delighting ticket buyers with heavy guitar riffs, boisterously precise drum solos, and three-part vocal harmonies anchored by the familiar croon of frontman Jim Adkins. 2013

Jimmy Eat World puts on a terrific show! They played songs from many of their albums (and my fav song, Big Casino). The audience sang along especially with Sweetness and The Middle, which have become core anthems of this genre. They are touring with New Found Glory with The Offspring headlining, so three great bands in one show. Now just wishing for Jimmy Eat World to headline a tour in the near future because I need more Jimmy songs! This is a good venue - food/drink are way more expensive than you would guess for Scranton, PA (kind of like MSG prices). But many staff were friendly and the venue is comfortable and clean.

Amazing, they put on such a tight show. I believe this "hometown show" was outside the regular tour schedule so they played a ton of old hits. Crowd in the pit was excited and energetic but not too crazy, no mosh pit for example. My husband and I both love the band so it was so cool to go together to see them. I missed the first opening act but PVRIS and The Maine were excellent. I did not like the opening act Thursday, seemed like you had to have nostalgi
