Caldwell’s Haunted World Promises Scares On A Grand Scale
The area's most stimulating, exciting, and scary haunted area is opening Friday September 13th. The Haunted World in Caldwell is so big we can only describe it, as what it is, a Haunted World!. If you love haunted houses you cannot miss a chance to be scared out of your wits during this Halloween season. It will take you over two hours to complete your mission of walking through a few haunted houses and then... the scary wooded path.
Chances are, if you see a blur while driving on Chinden Boulevard on your way to Caldwell near the Haunted World, you won't be seeing a ghost or a ghoul; you'll be seeing Scott Ethington on his four-wheeler racing from one part of the Haunted World to the other.
His day begins well before visitors arrive around 8 pm, preparing for a night of scares and screams. The park has been scaring Idahoans for over twenty years. It all began with an idea involving two brothers and their family farm.

A staple of Idaho's spooky season, The Haunted World in Caldwell has been serving the Treasure Valley since the fall of 2000 and each year it draws thousands of guests into its haunted clutches.
The Haunted World story
The Haunted World is, according to the website, the "largest haunted attraction in the western Combined States." With nearly 40 acres of indoor and outdoor attractions, the entirety of The Haunted World takes about an hour and a half to two hours to experience.
The attraction is divided into two spaces; the outdoor haunt and the Skullvania haunted house. The outdoor attraction is over 35 acres and takes guests through "Gristle's cornfield," an underground dungeon, a haunted barnyard and much more.
Gristle's cornfield has quite the legend, as told on The Haunted World's website, having been the site of several alleged murders committed by Gustav and Hilda Gristle. The story ends with an furious mob hanging the Gristles, but supposedly, their "twisted spirits stay. And occasionally, people still disappear in the corn that still grows there today … ."

I loved this the first year I went. It was awesome, and I had so much fun! I think the scare was incredible, and the next year, it was a little different. They switch it up every year! You can have some pretty scary interactions! I loved this so much, and it took 1-2 hours for the first half, and the second half is only about 30 minutes. I think this is the best haunted house I've been to so far!
