Off site hotel with dedicated or best shuttles

Hi all. In the planning and saving stages for an Orlando trip 2022. Budget wise WDW resorts are already out the question. Universal Cabana bay was a strong contender but we won't have a car, are reluctant to Uber and are concerned about getting around. 10yrs ago we stayed on idrive with free theme park shuttles. As discussed in most forums the issues were limited times, many pick ups and drop offs, huge queues at park closing, long journey times etc. So, does anyone know of a hotel, preferably with suites which offers dedicated shuttles to their property only, direct to all the theme parks? Or any hotel where the shuttle system worked well bearing in mind it will be August school holidays when we go. Probably many more questions to come over the next few years!!

If you're planning a Disney vacation and searching for resorts near Disney World with shuttle service, I’ve got your back. I’ve walked in your shoes—staring at endless hotel options, trying to figure out which ones make the trip smoother and which ones could turn it into a logistical headache. Over the years, I’ve tried everything from Disney resorts to nearby budget-friendly hotels, and I can honestly say that finding a good shuttle service can make or break your day at the parks.

I still remember one of our earliest trips when we stayed off-site and didn’t consider transportation. We ended up waiting over an hour for a shuttle that only went to one park and didn’t even run in the afternoon.

Since then, I’ve made it my mission to stay at places that make getting to Disney World easy, smooth, and as stress-free as possible. Trust me, when you’re exhausted from a full day of park hopping and walking 20,000 steps, the last thing you want is a complicated ride back to your room.

So here’s what I wish I knew earlier—and what I now tell all my friends when they ask where to stay. These are my top tips and honest thoughts on resorts near Disney World with shuttle access, based on

There are lots of reasons why people traveling to Disney World choose to stay off-site.

Lower costs and the ability to use reward points plays into the decision-making for some.

Others find the frequently larger spaces available in off-site rooms to be a better fit for them.

And, of course, there are some people that are interested in doing other things outside of Disney World (gasp!), and an offsite room simply makes that easier.

Whatever the reason, we want you to get the most bang for your buck and to help, we have some information about the most popular off-site resort options near Disney World.

Resort Fees

Before we dive into some of your best options for offsite resorts at Disney World, we wanted to talk a little bit about resort fees.

When you are looking at prices, Disney World resort hotels do not charge a separate Resort Fee.

They do, however, charge you parking fees (which are $15 per night for Value resorts, $20 per night for Moderates, and $25 per night for Deluxe), and in some rooms that sleep 4, you are charged an additional adult fee of $15-$35/night.

That isn’t true for your offsite options.
