Welcome back to This Week in iRacing,your guide to the daily, even hourly racing that members can get into, based on where their license level is at. There are also some special series that run at specific times that anyone can jump into, with the right credentials, that offer a more meaningful sim racing experience.

iRACING SPECIAL EVENTS
iRACING INDY 6HR SPECIAL EVENT
The iRacing Indy 6HR is an iRacing Special Event held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course and is based on the real-world IMSA event. Starting this weekend, on September 5th, teams of two to 16 drivers will take on the famed speedway in one of three classes—GTP/Hypercar, LMP2, or GT3—in this multi class iRacing event.

Thompson Speedway will host the historic 75th annual Race of Champions during the 63rd annual World Series Weekend on Saturday, October 11, 2025, bringing two great modified racing traditions together.

|Race of Champions and Thompson (CT) Speedway administration have come to an contract for the iconic facility to host the historic 75th annual Race of Champions to be held as part of the 63rd annual World Series Weekend on Saturday, October 11, 2025, bringing two great modified racing traditions together.
The 75th annual Race of Champions will be a 150-lap event paying $12,500-to-win as well as a spot on the legendary Al Gerber Memorial trophy. The race will endure similar to past events, with pit stops as it has had in the past. Three (3) crew members will be permitted over and only one (1) tire will be permitted to be changed per caution to maintain the strategy and competition that the event has shown in past years.

|Patrick Emerling's stellar World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway continued on Tuesday night, as the Orchard Park, New York driver returned to victory lane.
Emerling won Tuesday's 50-lap Tour-type Modified feature, leading from flag to flag after starting second in a dominant showing. The victory comes on the heels of a third-place finish on Monday night, as well as a victory in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season opener on Saturday night.
“This is awesome. I’ve got to give it up to the entire Fleetworks No.1 team," said Emerling. "We came out, won the Tour race, got a really solid third last night. We knew we had a little bit to gain, so that’s what we did. We were really, really good."

Full World Series of Asphalt Schedule Released
The daily schedule for the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing has been finalized and released by New Smyrna Speedway officials. The nine-day event starts runs from February 9-17 and will feature over ten divisions during the week-plus long event.
After an open practice day on Thursday, February 8 for Florida Modifieds and Late Models, it all kicks off on Friday, February 9 with 35-lap races for Super and Pro Late Models, FL Modifieds and Sportsman, and a 20-lap race for Bomber A’s.
The first marquee race of the week is on Saturday night, February 10 with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season opener. The premier Tour-Type Modified touring series in the country opens the season in Florida for the third-straight year, with Matt Hirschman and defending series champion Ron Silk winning the first two years. They will be joined by Pro Late Models, Sportsman and Bomber A’s.
A trio of 35-lap races for both Late Model classes and FL Modifieds are on the docket for Sunday night, with 602 Modifieds and E-Mods making their first starts of the week. Tour Modifieds return on Monday with a 50-lap race alongside Pro Late Models, 602 and
