March 2026 at Disney World: Crowd Calendar & Info
This guide to March 2026 at Walt Disney World offers a free crowd calendar, weeks to visit & avoid, weather, ride refurbishments, and what’s new. All of this, plus info & tips for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.
March is a “tale of two seasons.” The start should be slow, with crowds subsiding after Mardi Gras and Presidents’ Day in late February. Then later in March, colleges and many school systems in the country will take their spring break…and that means trips to Walt Disney World!
If you’re somehow able to get past that (perhaps you’re an avid queue enthusiast, in which case 120-minute waits might be right up your alley), the month of March can otherwise be a good time to check in Walt Disney World. Let’s get a look at the highs and lows of the month…
While it’s always above-average in terms of crowds, parts of Protest 2026 won’t be as worst for a couple of reasons. First, because Easter isn’t until April 5, 2026. This is 2 weeks earlier than the previous year, but it still does mean that schools that plan their Spring
Spring Break 2025 Crowd Forecast for Disney World: Higher Lows & Lower Highs
Spring break is one of the busiest times of the year at Walt Disney World. Crowd levels increase during the recess, culminating with peak weeks in March and April 2025. Easter is infamous for its high wait times in Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. It’s not just one week of elevated attendance, but a season with different districts having weeks off in two months.
Spring break season kicks off in the first half of March with colleges and universities, followed by K-12 school systems that take their week-long breaks. But not all dates within that range are equally crowded, as evidenced by last year, when the lowest low were 1/10 crowd level days (24 minute average wait) and the peak was 10/10 (60 minutes). We do not expect anything that extreme in 2025. To the contrary, we’re going to explain why this year should be much more consistently crowded. It makes for much more boring predictions, but that’s been par for the course thus far this year.
Our goals with this are highlighting weeks that will have the highest wait times and worst crowd levels a
March or Early May 2025?
It sounds like you know there are pros and cons of each. I was there end of April/beginning of May this year and it did indeed get very hot in May. Usually it is quiet then crowd-wise. When it's hot we do early morning and evenings in the parks.samsp99 said:
Based on https://www.disneytouristblog.com/best-worst-weeks-disney-world-crowd-calendar/ I have a trip booked for the second week in March, but I am now having second thoughts if I should push it to the first week in May. I am going solo so I don’t need to schedule for school holidays, in fact I would like to avoid them as much as possible.
That blog suggests there is a small window in March that can be quiet, but it’s all about how many schools have spring break that week.
May is technically shoulder season, so should be quieter, but this year the weather was very hot which I’d like to try and avoid.
which would you suggest and why?Click to expand...
In 2025 I am going March 16-21, with Easter being April 20 I am hoping for not too crazy busy, but it is the time frame I can go so I will work with it. As a solo it is a bit easier to deal with crowds IMO.
I never bother with
Early Mid March (10-15) - Is it gonna be THAT bad?
We were there that timeframe this year and it was very crowded. We went MLK week a couple times and end of February and it was much more crowded than the other times we have been. It was hard to walk through the walkways often and the wait times were ridiculous.
However, with a good plan we were able to ride all the headliners and everything we wanted a handful of times. Early entry allowed us to ride a few rides without waiting hardly, and we then stacked LL and did buy ILL twice for rise in the evening. Two days we tried sleeping in and getting to the parks around 10/11 but everything had huge lines by then (even non headliners). We did usually wait in a long line once or twice a day (1-1.5 hours) which we’ve never done before but it is what it is.
The LL lines moved MUCH quicker than our previous visits with FP though. We hardly waited at all until the merge point, whereas with FP we regularly waited 20/30/40 minutes MLK of 2019. So those 5/6 rides a day we got done very quickly!
Mobile order we had a lot of issues with. We would click here and wait 20+ minutes for our food. We noticed people walking up and ordering
