This game started off so well, really seeming to be Portia but better. But the more I play it, the more issues i'm having. I've got a lot of unconnected thoughts, so i'll list the good and bad then put a summary at the botom.

Good:
Oustanding character design, personality, and development.
Seriously some of the most lovable NPCs in gaming. Everyone has a unique and very well developed personality, with their own backstories and character arc.
Interesting world with a great concept to base the game off of.
Sandrock has a well thought out history, and you have the goal of showing up while it's getting run down and on the decline, and having to turn it around to make it prosper. You do this by building new things to make the town grow, by uncovering lost technology from the old world long destroyed by the day of the calamity, and by fighting off the growing desert.
Lots to do.
Farm, build, grow your workshop, decorate, connect with the townspeople, play minigames, catch fish, explore ruins, fight monsters etc. You know what to expect from games like this, and this game manages to include a wide variety of content better than most.
